Looking for Hump Rollbars for 1972 Vert
yes Vettworks has them but $950 is outrageous.
I don't need chrome, bare metal or black roll bar will do. I'm just going to re-powder coat anyway.
Thanks

Just an idea, but maybe contact vetteworks and see how much they would sell you an unfinished bar. Chroming is expensive and should cut the cost. ...I've done that with a few items that I planned to powdercoat.

no way does plating push the price that high. it cost about 30 buck to plate the step rails on crew cab trucks. I worked for a company that did chrome plating for DEE ZEE and that what they charged per step.
DEE ZEE sells each step for about 250.
my suggestion is to fabricate your own and send them off to one of the small time chrome shops that re=chrome car parts.

You could always buy a tubing bender and make it the way you want. Then have it powder coated. Here is a pic of mine. I made it to contour the seat shape and was not hard to do at all. If you do not weld just have a buddy do it for you.
Two side pieces. The tough part is trying to make them the same lol.
Weld them together with a straight bar.
Figure out a way to support it from the back. I used the rear shoulder belt attachment points that were still plugged from the factory in late 67.
What the guy racing me will see lol.
Here is a side view installed. Yes I have a very busy back behind the seats. Lots of stereo crap.
