TH 350 Transmission Wanted 1979 Chevrolet
Hey guys, my 1979 Camaro's trans is toast, and I would rather not shell out the $550 to get a new one.
I was wondering if someone here had an extra th350 that they knew was good and was willing to sell it for a reasonable price?
PM if you have one. PLEASE they need to be within a reasonable distance of Dallas, TX. Any farther and it wont justify the cost.
Thanks!

Yep that was my number one stop. The cheapest I can find right now is $250 as is, no warranty about anything. Thought I would try my luck here. I would take the word of a forum member on whether a trans is a working trans than a junkyard, who will say yes everything is working but all sales are final. Just fishing right now really.

I guess I am out of the mix, seems just yesterday a person could score a good th350 for 50-75 at most u pull it yards, I gave away a pork-slide just to get rid of it,
That 79 camaro...in good shape I see those fetching more than c3's for the same year...

I wish they were that cheap! I have had four in the past that I sold, and I ended up taking like $100 each. Seems like they are all over the place until you need one and then you cant find one to save your life!

I just pulled the TH350 out of my 81. I was going to put it up here or on Craigslist, just haven't gotten to it yet. Stock with about 95,000 miles, with TransGo shift kit. Worked great when it was in (last summer). I'm near Cleveland - so if you can't find anything else let me know. I'll ask $150.

The $550 is for a bench rebuild (you take it out of the car yourself). That might be the biggest difference in price. Also this is the price for the bottom o the line, stock, no shift kit trans.
