Per the forum rules you need to post the price. However, what's the suffix code and partial VIN stamped on the front pad?

Looks like it's in a boat. Is this your ad on craigslist?

Can you get a picture of the front pad?

From what I've read a 3963512 block is a late 69 427. What is the casting date?

CE stands for "Chevrolet Engine", which indicates a dealer installed warranty block, or partially fitted short block. No way to tell what it is without pulling it apart. The numbers after the CE are the date it was built and the sequence number. What does it say?

Here's more info on CE engines:

And the oil pan was taken off and the 4 bolt main is seen. Will post pics later

Thanks. CE074656 means that it was the 74,656th engine built in 1970. If it's a 4 bolt main, it "could" be an L88, but it could also be an L71 or even an L72. Although the possibility is slim, it could also be an LS6, but it's doubtful. No way to really know for sure without pulling it apart.

I thought CE stood for counter exchange or a gm crate engine from back in the day when they were under waranty and you blew your original.
