FS, 78-E79 power antenna
First of two pictured in this thread is sold, second one still available.
This is a nicely restored power antenna out of(as I'm told)a low mile 78 pace car.
Upon opening it up and overall condition I believe the mile statement is true, it's mint! It's also numbers/date correct for most pace cars.
I replaced the nylon cable that pushes it up and down and replaced the harness with a CORRECT harness that goes all the way to the relay so splicing wires isn't necessary(altho it's probably easier to splice them).
Cleaned it up a bit and lubed.
I also have all the mounting brackets, bezel, co/ax cable, nos relay, and can put together a correct forward harness if needed for additional cost.
The bare wires in the photo are simply stuck into the connector to enable bench testing.
$*** plus shipping.(SOLD)

KapsSA, this is Won-it, we exchanged posts several months ago about rebuilding my 1978 power antenna. I have found a source for the motor brushes. You told me they were hard to find and I am interested if you would be interested in some when I place my order? Your post shows 2 different antenna, I assume the one you are selling is the brown plastic covered one?

Pics are the same antenna, both sides.
I'll pass on the brushes as I do have one set on hand, besides I'm kinda getting out of messing with these antennas.
I have this one and 3 nos late79-82 units on hand that aren't getting any interest.

Still have the unit pictured in post 1 plus have another this style to add.
The new one is a mint used motor, cleaned and lubed, with a NOS mast tube/assembly and new nylon cable and harness.
Removed a Caddy upper mount and installed a correct corvette mount.
Unit LOOKS brand new.
This one, $175 plus shipping.
Pics to follow.
I also have some correct original sandblasted/painted mounting brackets available.
