Hello David,
The person I saw definitely has the parts. He has 10-12 whole cars in his building and lots of parts. I am sure that some of the people on the forum know him, but i couldn't pay the prices he was asking. He said he had a convertible top, but wants $1000 and the canvas is shredded.
I guess it is supply and demand, but i will keep looking. He was a super nice guy and told me the story of his shop and cars. Its worth a trip to see the cars, a couple of mid years and a lot of chromey's. I guess he has just as many or more parts at his farm as well.
If you need more info just pm me !

Default One More Try

I have offered a lot of free travel with my moving parts but to date nobody has chosen to do this so I will try one more time and if no one wants help I will stop asking.

I will be heading from Easton, PA to Atlanta area in late February on I-78, I-81, I-77, and I-85.
From Athens, GA I will be heading down to Daytona, Orlando, and Lakeland, FL on I-75.
I will return from Florida running back up I-75 back to the Atlanta area, then East towards Charlotte on I-85 and either North from there on I-77 or Northeast from there on I-85 to I-95 working my way back to Easton.

I will be attending the Daytona 500 and the Carlisle Winterfest in Lakeland during my visit to Florida having some fun in the sun.

If you need something transported just contact me and I will help you out if I can.

Last offer for assistance.

David Howard

David you are one of the most generous people on this site. My guess is that sometimes members just aren't in a position to use your offer. At some point in time there will be a need and whoever it is will jump at the offer and be very happy for it. Have a good trip Phil

David Howard just delivered on that trip 2wks ago to me here in Athens, GA.
Brought me a new 75 project to work with. Stripped body, rolling chassis and spare frame. Also brought me many items from 3 other great guys in the PA area....John, Ray and Eric.Brought me 6 totes of parts, 2 doors, 3 windows, removable rear window, headlight set up, T-tops, etc, etc.......all for only $500 in delivery cost.

Had an awesome time with him and Bill Van Orman at dinner and with David for breakfast.

This is what the Corvette Forum is all about.....the love of our Vettes brings out the best in most everyone.

And this "Postal Service" is a great idea.

More people should use it.

Think about it next time you have a hood or a differential or a frame to move....

Txs Guys....

Heading along IH10 from San Antonio Texas to Jacksonville Fla, then 95 South to Melbourne--then return trip--- last weekend of March ---first week of April.

So, primary cities along the way will be Houston, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Mobile, Pensacola, Tallahassee, etc..

Pick up hauling 24' enclosed trailer with Corvette on the eastbound trip (with room for many parts/pieces going East.

Empty (as of now) going West.

Let me know if there are pieces/parts needing transport along this route (can make some diversions to accommodate needs).

Also, trailer is for sale after Melbourne delivery. Some details here:

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-for-sale.html

Let me know,
George

Good road trip George. I was fortunate to avoid any tough weather and I hope the same will be true for you. Best regards, David

Heading up to Virginia Beach, VA on the 8th and coming back on the 15th of May.
Got to go fishing......the blues and sea trout are running.....

I only have my Prius but I can squeeze a thing or two. Or if it will travel on my rooftop, I'll do it.

Give me a holler here.

Have a great time Dennis. You have to go and catch them when they are running and before they disappear. I have plenty to haul down to your place but four wheels and an engine block probably won't squeeze into the Prius this time. LOL. Time to get a pickup truck buddy. LOL.
Have a great time.

I have a pickup David....a good old 93 Chevy with 245,000 miles on her. She does not like to leave GA though......lol. She only gives me 15mpg.
I'll come to Carlisle and maybe bring a rented truck. Last year I found one for another trip for a $200/wk and it had a hemi in it. Got 25mpg.
How long from VB to your place? Maybe I'll rent me another and come get them if the fish ain't bitin'........
Bring you some crabs instead.

Just a thought folks....especially for those in the Great White North....

I recently sold a rear end to a CF member from Nova Scotia.

I am in GA....can you imagine the freight AND duty if it was shipped across the border?
Just so happens I have a brother in upstate NY (Watertown).
Well I boxed the rear and shipped it to him for $76 total !!!!!!!
Bro held onto it for a couple of weeks.
Our member came over on a trip and picked it up. With receipt he took it across border duty free.

THERE is more than one solution.

Think outside the box folks and don't be afraid to ask for help.

Peace

Six hours from Easton to Virginia Beach. We were there last year for vacation. Nice drive, but hate to think you would have to drive clear up here just to see my racer and pick up a few parts. Body goes back on the racer Saturday, May 6th. You have a place to sleep if you do come up though, and you are always welcome.

That is great information Dennis. Now I have a good friend in Watertown too and my parents summer cottage is just South of Watertown so is it a small World or what? Amazing coincidences.

Engine will be test run Monday the 1st. After the body goes on I can hook it up to run but probably won't get that far until I get some of the interior A/C and electrical wiring run. Will have to see how far I get by the time you could be up here.

I am thinking I can get there with enough time to maybe turn a few wrenches if you need my help.
Otherwise I'll just drool and shop in your basement.....

I have a differential I need to get up to Gary Ramadei in CT to complete my Original Super 10 build.
If I ship it by FedEx, its about $150.
I'd rather pass on some money to a member than go that route.
I am going up to Virginia Beach next Monday the 8th from here in Athens, GA.
Then I hope to shoot over to see my buddy David Howard's Racer in Easton, PA.
I can bring the diff with me (crated) and pass it off to anyone going to CT in the next month or so.
There is no rush on getting it there this month (May) but it does need to be there by June.
Anyone want to take a shot at this?
Need to know by Sunday when I pack my car.

Thanks to all
