Didn't the Pace car and Silver Anniversary share the same interior color?? This could have been a Pace car as it was in primer after being wrecked.

Some but not all....Pace Car had silver seats like the 1979 model (as you picture)...easiest way to tell...check the VIN # ...Pace Car had a seperate sequence set of VIN #
1978 CORVETTE VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBERS (VIN)
1Z87L8S400001 - 1Z87L8S440274 (Corvette Coupe)
1Z87L8S900001 - 1Z87L8S906502 (Corvette Pace Car)

Post the VIN of your parts car. All 78s are 25th Anniversary models including the SAs and PCs. Silver Anniversary applies only to the two tone paint option. Silver interior trim in leather or cloth was available only on the Pace Cars. SAs had the regular production tall back bucket seats and all interior colors were available other than silver.

Sure looks like your parts car was/is a Pace Car.
