1968 Corvette 427/ 390 4 speed Carb needed
Looking for a Rochester mv4 carburetor part number 7028209. Restoring a Corvette and do not have this carb. Any condition considered.
Thanks,
Jeff

To add to the post, my Corvette currently has a Holley carb w/ part number L7456, 1667 installed. I am pretty sure this car did not come with this carb. Searches say this is 450 cfm. Really choking down this 427..... other than that, car was in a barn for 15 years. Woman said it was the only thing she got in her divorce. Everything else looks 100% bone stock. Replacing brake lines and rebuilding calipers now....... the car does not leak or smoke, totally amazing!

Jeff,
I have the same car.
The above carb # in your 1st post is correct for our year.
As John said not cheap in any condition, I've seen them at $1500.00.
Mine had a Holley also, a period cool race mod made on allot of these cars.
I was not interested in spending that kinda of coin on a carb.
I found a new old in the box 1401 Edelbrock, same carb basics.
Car runs great under all situations that I'm using it for.
Just an option should you come up empty handed.
I might look for the above carb if I had a very low mileage
original survivor I was going to attempt a bow tie award.
Other than that its not required to enjoy the car.
Your call.
Making these cars "right" gets quite expensive quickly.
