Default F/S McLeod twin disc clutch

I have for sale a McLeod street twin disc clutch for a 10 spline trans. I installed it and drove around the block. This clutch is not for me- too much pedal pressure and a bit of take off chatter. McLeod says the chatter will go away with use, but since I drive my Corvette maybe 50 miles a year, i'll never get to the break in mileage needed for smooth engagement. As you can see by the pictures, it does look new- just like it came out of the box. Includes release bearing and ARP flywheel bolts Asking $750 shipped to lower 48 U.S. Summit wants $928 for it.

I thought the McLeod twin disk clutches were being favored over others because of the light pedal pressure required to engage this clutch!??

I did not find that to be true. I get a better pedal feel and engagement with an Exedy twin That I use in C5-7's than I did with this "street" twin.

A modern hydraulic clutch isn't a fair comparison to a C3

Yes, this clutch is highly reviewed by 99% on the forum and else where. Not sure what the problem was here. Somebody else's gain I guess. GL

It is a fair comparison when talking about shudder from a stop. Because of the reviews I read is why I went with their street twin. It probably is an excellent clutch, but just not in my application where I will never get to their recommended break in mileage to eliminate the take off shudder. It reminds me of the Quartermaster clutches I've installed.
