FWIW: the 8-track became available in 1977. 8-tracks will not fit the stock 68-76 cluster bezels without cutting the bezels.

got a 76 radio AM?FM that worked great when I took it out aaaalso the other piece(amp?) that also worked great. also wiring harness between them. will a 76 fit yours???

Hi 70s,
I believe you'll find that for 70 model year cars there were 2 radio options… an Am/Fm radio and an Am/Fm Stereo radio.
Both used the same 2 speakers.
I'm not sure for which model year the Am/Fm Stereo became standard on cars.
