Default WTB: 1969 Corvette frame or rolling chassis

Hey Fellow Corvette Enthusiasts,
My name is Becky Harris from Eastville, on the Eastern Shore of Va.
I have a blue 1969 Corvette. I have had my "Blue Baby" for about 25 years!!
Unfortunately during this time my frame has rusted and needs to be replaced.
My Husband and I are hoping that someone in your Corvette Club could offer some information on where we could purchase a rolling chassis in our area!! We would appreciate any help with this.
Thanks so much!!
😎

Hi Becky, welcome to the Corvette Forum. If you could tell me what about your frame has rotted and why you think it can not be repaired or restored please. I just restored a 68 frame for another forum member which had some issues but we fixed them. I've restored a 68, a 69, two 71's, two 72's, a 74, a 75, a 76, and a 77 frame thus far and have only cut up two that were beyond repair out of these builds. Is your frame bad or is the whole rolling chassis in trouble?
If you post some pictures I'd be glad to help as I'm sure others will as well. Wish I was close enough to inspect it and offer some thoughts and options. I'm in Easton, PA, about six hours North of you.
Glad to help.

David,
WOW!! You have restored a lot of Corvettes!!
Thank you so much for offering your help!!

My mechanic had to put jacks under the rear of the car to hold it up!! It was like the car wanted to bend in half!!
For safety reasons, cost for labor and possibilities of other problems he suggested we get a rolling chassis!!

I really appreciate your concern and willingness to help me!!

I have restored several frames and rolling chassis. I have only have restored three full cars; 1971 coupe that is here now, 1977 coupe that I have sold, and a 1972 road race replica that I am building now.

Thanks for the information. I actually had a 1971 frame snap at the kick-up area, sounds like that is what you are dealing with as well. Unfortunate for sure and one not to take lightly for sure.

There is a gentleman near me that has a nice 69-72 frame, actually an automatic frame and a manual frame, for sale. He has had the frames straightened, media blasted, and painted. They are nice. He is asking $3,800 or best offer for his. I believe he has them listed on eBay as well. His ad will show he is from Emmaus, PA. I have purchased from him previously, he does good work. If you want his contact information I would be glad to provide that to you. In the meantime I will keep my eyes open for a rolling chassis, those are harder to come by but they are out there.
Is your car a manual four speed or automatic, big block or small block, coupe or convertible?
Thanks for the info, let's see what we can find for you.

I am not sure if this is okay to post here as they are not a sponsor but Americas Finest Corvettes will put together a compete rolling frame. You can google them. You will also want to have someone look at the bird cage which is the frame to which the body is adhered.

Kind Regards,

Bill

Thank you!!

I have a lead on a rolling chassis at Dream Restorations, Moyock, NC. They are only about an hour and a half from me.
I pray that this will work out!! 😃😎👍🌞

Thanks again for your concern and "ALL" your help!!
