C3 Bird Cage
I purchased this Bird Cage from a forum member down in Texas. It's from a '76. I paid $600.00 U.S. Plus shipping. Upon receiving it, I had the local Corvette shop move the clips and brackets from my 4-speed '80 Bird Cage over to. Then it was dip striped and powder coated. This Bird Cage is solid and in beautiful shape. Thanks goodness for that dry Texas climate. I no longer require this Bird Cage for my restoration. I'm ready to let it go for the same $600.00 plus shipping to your location.

What a fantastic deal you are offering. Can I ask where the birdcage is located at this time please? Be hard to pass up this one if it can be relocated simply enough.
Thank you and best regards,

Hey David,
As pictured, it's sitting in my garage. I've had it suspended from the ceiling until this past weekend. My completed chassis has been rolled out so there was room to put it back down. I contacted my local Corvette shop (the ones that refurbished it) to see if they were interested in buying it. I know they could turn it around for a nice profit. But they didn't reply so I'm not talking to them anymore about it. The donor car was a '76 automatic. As mentioned, my '80 was a 4-speed converted to a 5-speed. The clips and brackets from my Bird Cage were moved over to the donor Cage. Everything about this Bird Cage is solid. I know I'm low-balling on the price. My wife wants to get her SUV back into the garage so I want to see this Bird Cage move.

I'm located in Vancouver, Canada. I will ship this south of the border. It original came from the Deep South. I can't recall how much it cost me to ship the thing to Blaine, WA where it picked it up and brought it home (that was four years ago). But if it goes to the U.S., I would ship it via Fed Ex or UPS from Canada so I'm sure it would cost more to send it.

Very tempting. I'm not sure how you would handle the VIN number swapping the entire bird cage? You can't just swap it over, can you? I'm going to pull the interior panels to get a better look at my bird cage this weekend, I might be interested if its still available after that.

Yes, it would have. But it's been sitting in my garage for the past three months with no takers so this past Saturday I took it to the scrap yard. What a shame. It was in brand new condition. But I needed the space in the garage more.
