1969 68-75 Comp Factory Muncie 4-spd Transmission Changeover
As you can see by my photos, this is an absolutely complete & original factory 4-speed set-up that was just removed from a 1969 Corvette that we are dismantling for parts.
If you are looking to change your 1968-75 Corvette from automatic to 4-speed here is your opportunity as what I am offering is every component and nut & bolt that you will need to correctly do the job.
This aluminum cased Muncie M-20 wide ratio 4-speed transmission is in nice original undamaged condition. Other than me removing the side cover for photographs, it appears to have never been apart or rebuilt. The outer case has just been throughly cleaned, not bead blasted or painted. Nothing is chipped cracked, broken or been previously repaired. The main case, tail housing, side cover & bearing retainer are all correct numbers matching components with even the little metal ID tag and reverse light switch still attached to the side cover. Inside the case is clean with all of the gears having no chipped teeth or uneven wear, please view my close up photos. Stamped into the side of the case was the Corvette's vin number and it's build date of P 9 T 16 A. P (muncie) 9 (1969) T (december) 16 (day) A (wide-ratio). You will also note that transmission has the driveshaft yoke still in it.
Also included: is the original 4-speed shifter with linkage and it's correct mounting plate. Complete clutch & brake pedal assembly with cross shaft, etc. Nice original undamaged 11" aluminum bell housing part # 3899621, clutch fork and 11" flywheel. Drive shaft. And all of the factory original nuts, bolts, washers, springs, screws and other fasteners to completley reassamble this changeover correctly back into your car.
Please understand this is a correct and all numbers matching assembly that was removed from a 1969 Corvette but from what I understand can be used in all 1968-75 Corvettes. Please look at all of my photos, check the part numbers and then decide if this factory changeover will work in your car.
