Oh, I get it but the one I just checked on was listed for 2350.00 as they only made so many. By the way, original L88 depending on history have went for 350,000 to over 1,000,000 and roughly cost at time of purchase less than factory L88 hoods go for now. Someone recently sold an original L88 hood for 8000.00 and yes I have one of those as well, interested? LOL

Default I heard

I heard that people were finding the same block off plate in some GM trucks of that era. Not certain of this though. So I believe it might have had application in other places besides corvette.

I wouldn't think so as this one is specific to the Corvette curved nature of the Radio Bezel support. Other GM vehicles had radio delete option as in fact it technically wasn't radio delete as most of the times they were optional, so no radio was standard. Personally, as mentioned in another post, I like no frills basic cars like a 1968 with only option being L79. My 2cents! Personally, you could give me a new Corvette and I would auction it off as they in my opinion, have became bloated luxury barges.

I have an old plastic plate made to put stereos in 68-77 dash you cut it for the radio you use...looks like this threads plate from the front but its not correct so its 12.99 when you can find them...this is all about a correct part for an uber rare car.
If not correct its fake...are you doing a l88 and need this sellers real plate?
