Wanted: Original Firestone Wide Oval Tires for 1969
Like the title says, I am looking for a set of 5 original Firestone Wide Oval tires in NOS condition for a 1969 Corvette.

I need tires that have the 8 digit date code, pre 1971 After that, they went to a ten digit code. I was not aware that you could decipher date codes on Firestone tires. I will pay market price for NOS real deal tires if they are what I need. Thanks!

I don't think we know if they had dates at all pre 71, do we? In any case, I think of the 6 tires I have available 4 are 7 rib with a date code. Sorry I can't help.

Hi,
The remaining original Firestone RWL from my 71 has 8 digits in the code.
It's a mid-January built car, so the 8 digits appear to have continued at least that long.
