I posted this also under my part request ... Just wanted to make sure everyone hears my RANT !! This is unbelievable...I'm SO MAD he has the part, and I can't buy it because he's trying to screw me out of my money.
MICHIGAN CORVETTE wants ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS for a DIPSTICK TUBE for an 82 !!!!!
This is a discontinued part worth about $15.00 at most. The chrome standard SBC replacement tubes are 9.99 at autozone, but they don't fit the damn 82.
Not only did I say NO, I said HELL NO, that's ridiculous! I will never call or do business with Michigan Corvette - EVER !!!

WOW! I don't blame you for being mad, sounds like he thinks he has a hostage and wants good ransom money. Have you tried places like Paragon Reproductions, Mid America, Zip Products, etc.

Just goes to show that they got us by the *****, when it comes to parts.
Somebody out there has got to have one of these. Have you tried some of
the used parts guys or the salvage companies?

Many people have tried to buy my Vette and other classic cars I own. When I tell them they aren't for sale and they still want a price, it's $250,000. So.......

Who got ripped off???? Certainly wasnt you 'cause you were smart enuff not to buy it.... I agree that the price is way too high, but that is the FREE ENTERPRISE System at its finest, my Friend. I agree with the last two posters. I think Ferrari's are overpriced and I really want one but can't afford it. But I don't think have ripped me off!

Well, why not go to a bookstore and look thru one of those interchangable parts book and see if any old impala or truck had one that will fit. Then you can go to the nearest junk yard, buy a handful, and sell the extras to him for half price. :jester
