'68 gas pedal linkage question.
I think that '68 is the only year that uses that setup. My gas pedal linkage assembly is basically the pivoting gas pedal with a rod at the end which is flat on one side, A aluminum piece (which operates the throttle cable) is attached on that rod. The problem is that this aluminum piece wears out and causes it not to be tight against the rod anymore, causing it to have a reduced travel and preventing me from getting full throttle. I checked all the corvette catalogs and noone has a replacement assembly.. Now I wonder how I can fix my current assembly?? I thought of tack welding the aluminum piece to the rod...but I don't think thas this is a good idea.. Any ideas how to fix it?

The piece that bolts to the pedal link is steel. You could tack that. The support bracket is plastic and will have to be on the rod when you weld it. Try not to get the rod too hot.
Or you could convert to the 69L-up setup.
