Default Tune up question?

When the engine is warmed my 82 corvette run a little rough idleing in DRIVE at 600 rpm. When the ac is on the engine idles at 800 rpm without a problem. I changed plugs and wires but have not touch the distributor caps and rotor. Is there a cold start or something that need to be cleaned or replaced. Any help is appreciated.

I'm basing this on my 79 350 and an '81 Cutlass I owned. The increased idle speed when the A/C is on is due to the solonoid which engages and pushes up the throttle linkage when you engage the A/C and hit the accelerator a bit. I think that 600 in drive is about right; however, you might want to just bump that up in 50 rpm intervals until you get a decent idle.

in my opinion, any questions regarding an 82 should be directed to twinturbo. pm him your question and you'll be glad ya did. i too have an 82 and did some searching on the forum about the cfi, the man is brilliant

You might want to also check your cap, rotor, fuel filter, fuel pressure, air filter, and other tune up parts. Balancing your TB's might help too.
