I have just picked up a holley 4160, 750cfm, the carb has a manual chock set up, whereas my stock rochester quad has vacuum choke.
can anybody offer any advise ? need choke or not ?
good carb or bad carb ?
vette is 78 350 auto, all stock.
don't drive the car in winter(Canada eh)
thanks in advance

Try it for awhile without the choke and see if it works for you. If you decide you want an electric choke they're available and pretty simple to add.

I ran a s.s. rod from the bracket for the choke cable to the choke to hold it open and I'm not using a choke

you will need to change the intake manifold or use a adapter to mount the holley in the Qjet intake

Clem is correct. The 4160 is a square bore design.
