Best 12V Power source for Choke
Hi Guys,
Whats the best place to hook up the electric choke for a Holley. Holley recommends a constant 12V source and all I can think of right now off the top of my head is direct to the battery but then it would be ON all the time. What have all of you done? Holley says if its not a constant 12V the choke can behave eratically . . has anyone had problem hookign up to a non 12V source?
Chris

Thanks guys . . . I was thinking the same sort of power source. Wasnt sure why they recommend a constant 12V source since I know Ive never used a constant source in the past.

+12 at the coil. Ground to the carb. You want the coil on a switched circuit (hot whenever the engine is runnin). Otheriwise, you will never have the choke engaged and you will find a dead battery every time you go to start the car.
