They (GM) are tougher to find- but if in no rush, you can find a deal. I got a great deal- bought it as soon as I saw it listed on eBay. The Trans actually had a broken bolt hole the Camaro used for mounting on the tailshaft- not needed on the Vette.

Richard
Almost right, the 1988 T5WC has mechanical speedo, one year only for both WC and mechanical speedo.
I have a 1988 T5WC 1352-176

1352-176 GM 1988 F Car lO3 TBI 5.0L V8 WC U 2.76 2.95 1.94 1.34 1.00 0.63
1352-177 GM 1988 F Car LB8 2.8 V6 WC P 3.76 4.03 2.37 1.49 1.00 0.76

Got a 87 Camaro T-5 for about $350 shipped on eBay. New transmission mount $10- and took $10 worth of flat steel and made a bracket to accommodate the 17º angle. Got a short throw shifter on eBay for less tha $30 from a 03-04 Mustang Cobra ( Viper shifter will also fit from a T-56)- cut it down and will use a stock looking handle.

Using the stock mechanical linkage w/ my original 621 bellhousing. Original flywheel and reused my clutch that had only a few thousand miles on it - a new throwout bearing I had leftover .

Found a yoke on eBay for less than $40- will accommodate the 1330 u-joints and 27 spline.

Now have to get the driveshaft shortened about 2".

I went though the transmission also cleaned it up and painted it- there's several youtubes out on how to go through it-Mine was in great shape and just replaced the real seal for about $10 and some RTV.

The mechanical speedo- I have a 22 tooth- I really need a 24 but they seem to be tough to find- here's a great calculator-

Here's some pics "John 65" sent me on his conversions-
GREAT INFO here Thanks :-)

I'm about to do the same, with a T5WC from 1988, into my 69 with 3.70 rear.

Can you send me a link for the yoke?

Not mine but found this one currently on the local CL if it helps. A Chevy T5 WC with a Hurst shifter in my area.
