Default After market oil pan - aluminum timing cover

Anyone using a Milodon or Moroso oil pan? I have an oil leak at the front seal where the pan meets the timing cover, have tried multiple gaskets (one piece, cork) and two differnt pans ( a cast aluminum and a stock stamped opriginal style) and I still have a leak.

I currently have a "no name" aluminum timing chain cover that I am guessing is cast wrong and the oil pan cant seal.

I plan on getting oen of the pressed aluminum edelbrock 2 piece timing covers and a 7qt Moroso or Milodon pan....jst not sure which pan will work as the steering linkage is pretty damn close.

Nick, As low as your car is, i would get a Canton Road Racing Oil pan..besides the fact they look cool..they give better clearance. I have that Edelbrock Aluminum timing cover too..its thick, and a 1-piece gasket seals fine.

For what it's worth, I purchased a chrome transmission pan two years ago at the Charlotte car show/swap meet for $15. When I put in on the transmission the linkage for the gear selector actually hit the bottom of the pan. Ever since, I avoid the cheaper variety of chrome doodads for my car. I know you're asking about timing covers and oil pans, but this is my experience with cheap chrome if this helps any. Good luck!

i have used 2 different moroso road race pans, one 2-pc and one 1-pc rear mains, and never had a problem with the front seal leaking.

How about this cheap no name 7" circle track pan ... for under $65.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/7101Z...QQcmdZViewItem

Looks more or less a knockoff of CV products P/N CV1100LT OR Canton P/N 11-120.

I haven't tried one yet ... but I've had good luck with other cheap no name asian op's.
