Can You Clean And Reuse Fouled Plugs?

I never priced any racing plugs as Champion always gave us several boxes of N54R`s as we needed them. This is a side electrode 3/4 reach plug that we used in all of our supercharged gas and fuel Chrysler engines. But i`m positive they were not $124.00 a set. In fact they always came in a box of ten, and every run a new set was used.

This forum sucks sometimes. Let the guy clean his plugs if he wants to. An old vette may be a hobby but you don't have to spend all your money on it. Well maybe some do.

you could clean them up and replace them. Or, you could do an engine swap and drop in a 427.
I mean, you already have your tools out. just put it on the visa card.
i agree lucky... fixing things and replacing parts are two totally different things.

A&P mechanic here. We never replaced the plugs in a small piston aricraft engine unless it was damaged or had been in there for a long time. Of course a small piston aircraft engine has 2 spark plugs per cylinder and two ignition systems .
For the price we pay for automotive spark plugs, I'd say replace them.
