68 Custom Convertible - before and after pictures!
I got this Vette this march (2001) and it was in pretty rough shape!
It took 5 months to get to the current condition!
Here are some before and after pictures of the car!

That is one fine looking custom C-3, you spent some serious $$$ on that thing and it looks great!

I sold my 95 Corvette Convertible in January. I got the 68 for a good price! So I had quite some money left from the 95 and I decided to use it to fix up my new project. I know that if I would want to sell this Vette I wouldn't even get a fraction of what I invested. There is a lot of money in places where you can't even see...... However - I am not planning to sell this Vette. I had a 69 Convertible before that was in similar condition like this one. I only sold the 69 because it had a automatic transmission. I prefer stick shift. I am planning for next year to put a Richmond 6-speed transmission and a Speed-o-motive 383 Stroker Enging (540 hp) into my 68! The car still has the original M-21 tranny in it!

Thanks!

Those are Autometer Phantom Gauges. They are top of the line quality and cheaper than the original gauges.
However - they require some modifications to the speedo and tach bezels.
>>Nice car.
Thanks

That is a very nice custom job you finished. I like the white stripes and somehow, the rear spoiler works with your car. Great job.

>>Nice flip up front end,......where can I get one of those kits?
That was not a kit!!! Someone moulded the hood and the tops of the headlights into the body. The spoiler has also been custom built for this car too! All the work on this car has been done in the mid 70's.
The only "tilt front" kit I know of is the "DAYTONA" tilt front. Ecklers sells those. They don't have it in their catalog but you will find it on their webpage. However - the "tilt front" that Ecklers sells is quite different from mine!

I always liked the looks of the Dodge Viper blue/white paint job. So I decided to paint my Vette in the same colors. The color is "Viper Blue" with white stripes! The stripes look very good on the one piece tilt front because there are no hood lines!

I bought those same Autometer gauges. GrandsportC3 could you walk me through how you mounted them?
