Default 502 crate bolt into my 68?

im trying to find out if a new 502 crate motor will bolt in place of the 454 that is now in the 68?i allready have the electric fuel pump and regulator for it,oops,that would be a 1969 not 68

If you use the intake manifold that comes with the 502, you will probably need a high-rise hood. Other than that, only minor fitment issues...usually need to ding the bottom of the oil pan for p.s cylinder clearance.

its got a cowl induction hood now.do you know if i can use the pan off the 454?or will it have a different sealing system than the old block?

This has the GM 6 qt pan...(PO installed engine) Headers tight at steering box..but using Hedmons and undercarrige 3" pipes..

Default fuel pump

just curious where you mounted the fuel pump for it?hows it run with the 502?

It's under the fuel tank...I put a filter between tank/pump and have another filter just before the carb...you can't see fuel line out back of regulator,but it loops back to passenger side where it connects to hard fuel line..
502 runs great...electric fuel pumps are recommended with these engines..
