What are the differences between painting a fiberglass vehicle and a metal vehicle? Can someone explain?

There are differences in preparation of the bare surfaces. Once primed and ready to paint they are the same.

fiber glass surfaces are more porous so they can get contaminated and hold the contaminants easier
