Default 1969 C3 tuneup

ok im looking at changing plugs and wires.
plugs are not the problem but the wires are.
im looking into an aftermarket set like ACCEL or MSD wires but no one can really give me a part number for the vette with ignition sheilding.
universal wires are too short btw .
i already tried those .
OEM wires dont hold up as well as the aftermarket wires.

I'm sure I'll get flamed for this, but...

Wires are wires, if you have a stock or near stock ignition system. Expensive wires won't give you any more hp or torque vs. cheap wires in good condition.

Have to agree with Steve. Wires are wires. Especially when it comes to the small block 350.

I am not really to sure about the big block motors. I have seen where the wires fit over the valve covers and that may make a difference.

The only real performance difference is plug boots. Some real cheap sets have crummy boots. After you get enough insolation on the wires to keep them from shorting out, any more is just eye candy. Personally, I don't like yellow or blue or purple, etc. wires the size of a water hose all over my engine.
