Anybody Try This Fuel Injection System
I just saw this system. Not cheap but looks fairly easy to install and use.

I looked into that system, not to buy but because I was curious. It looks great, except for the price. Seems the Mustang croud are really into that system. Great performance and tunability. It even has a barametric pressure sensor that mounts to the firewall. I called and got a list of all the sensors, it has two O2s, the bara, an air temp, water temp, and air speed. For all it's cost I'm really tempted to look into it more seriously someday.

It looks like that price doesn't include the fuel system. Add another $700 or so to the price. A little too rich for my blood. I have a Megasquirt system on my long term to-do list. I'm sure it will be a lot more work, but hey, that's part of the fun.

The guy I talked to gave me the idea that everything you needed was in the kit, and that included a fuel pump and lines and harness. Maybe I got that wrong. I thought the $700 was some kind of an upgrade to the included system.

I would suggest to anyone looking at fuel injection systems to visit the Kinsler site, they sell, tune, and service any fuel injection systems and give great unbiased advise. Their site is like a how to manual for FI. My system if vintage Hilborn, but set up and reworked by Kinsler, they have been life and money savers for me and have given good, sound advise and direction to me and others FREE. They are worth the look

IMSA, yours is still a mechanical injection setup right? Not for the novice to run on the street. If you don't know how to set one up it'll be a nightmare as they run pretty rich at idle and cruise and have terrible fuel economy, just how I like 'em.

I'd personally go with Rochester Products. Flex fuel compatible and they give you EVERYTHING to do it. They also include a mechanical fuel pump (same ones at www.racepumps.com)

That's who I'm going to go with, when I scrub up the change to make the switch.

Still original mechanical Hilborn/Kinsler. Not difficult to tune or run with just a bit of experience. What makes it easy is a dash mounted Dial-A-Jet, I can change 8 different "pills" and air-fuel mixture with the click of a dial, even when driving. Generally it really rarely takes tuning. I am working on a data aquisition system now that will give me a constant digital air/fuel (richness) reading on the dash to facilitate tuning. These are readily available for EFI, not as available for mechanical. For $2K they install a 2" plate between the block and intake manifold keeping the old school look but providing EFI. I probably won't go that way.
OLD SCHOOL FUEL INJECTION-
you may have to play with it a little, but doesn't it look COOL! CLICK>>

I asked around on a Mustang forum when I heard of this kit, and it seemed VERY popular because it adapts so well to any size motor, and they can make it for ANY engine that has an aftermarket manifold. A Cad 472? Sure. An AMC 304? Yep. Not to mention it allows super-easy upgrades if you ever swap cams or change the displacement. It's a well designed system, and that's why they charge what they do.
