Default Carburetor bolt torque

can someone tell me what the torque is for
the 4 main bolts on the Q-jet to manifold?

my AIM shows where its supposed to be but
the numbers and whether its inch or foot lbs
is completely faded

Holley specs are 100-115 INCH LBS.

I just did this recently and if I remember correctly on a Q-Jet it is 140 inch lbs. Make sure you snug each bolt down evenly before torquing them.

I don't usually pull out the torque wrench for this one but supervette77 is right that you need to snug them evenly. I usually use a nut driver (screwdriver handle on a socket). That's fairly safe. You can crack a quadrajet's body pretty easily with a socket wrench (ask me about the bead of JB Weld running down the front of the one on my big block.) God bless, Sensei
