82 smog pump and emissions
I live in GA and after 25 emissions inspections are not required on vehicles. If I remove the cat and the smog pump, what will it do for the performance of my 82? Also how bad will it screw up my computer? Cany you just remove the belt from the smog pump and cap the hole in the breather assymbly?

No more smog tests
I just removed the belt and pulley off the smog pump. And put a hollowed out cat on mine. Sounds better, can’t say as I can tell any differences in performance.
For better performance I changed the cam to a Comp-Cams crossfire cam and put in an 85-tpi-fuel pump.

The computer probably just needs a new PROM with the cam. I'd imagine it'd probably come with that cam since it's designed for the crossfire system. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, though.
