Default B&M RV/Heavy Duty or Street/Strip

Which would you recomend those of you that have this shift kit? Main complaint is tranny shifts at low rpm's and almost can't even tell it shifted. I am dropping the pan and changing some leaking seals so decided to install a shift kit while I was in there. I don't want neck snapping shifts but a little chirp in to second would be nice. I already have the kit and seals. Plan to get started this week. No rush, still a little cool. Thanks for your replies. Oh yeah, TH350

Go with the street strip set up,I believe you can also change the presure by pulling the vaccume hose off the modulator and turnning the screw inside about a half turn at a time

I rebuild my TH400 with a B&M TransKit. I followed their S&S procedures which are pretty much what all the other places do as well. The shifts are firmer but driving at idle RPM creeping around a parking lot, stop signs, etc there is a hammer from 1-2 from the increased psi. I confirmed this with B&M and it has been ok just annoying. I was running 308's and swapped to 336's but then it got cold so the car has been sitting for a month now. I can hold it in gear as long as I want but I haven't noticed it chirping 2nd too much. The engine is about 325- 330 hp, 380 ft/lbs. I was expecting a bit more but it is firmer then stock. If I power brake to 2k and launch it then it will lite up the tires for a while- good test for the posi I blueprinted LOL!!

2 friends and I each bought then-new Z28 Camaros after getting out of school ('78-'80 ), and we put S/S kits in the '79 & '80 ('78 was a stick ):
both cars chirped the tires on the 1-2 shift at anything much over 3/4-throttle, even with the wimpy LM-1 350s & 3.42:1 rear-ends.

All my hot-rod buddies whose opinions I respect say the B&M kits are no longer what they used to be. Use a "Trans-Go" kit. But, don't take my word either--call some local high performance shops and ask their opinions.

I would buy a Trans-Go, not B&M. It is on my list of things to do for my Vette.
