Not that I have ever found, 285/40 and 275/40..no 45's.

Why do you want such an odd size? Trying to fill the wheel well in without lowering?

I want to stick with a 27" tire, a 40 sidewall is less than 26"

A 255-50 tire is 27.2" overall diameter (advertized) - on a 8" wide rim. If you have a 9.5" rim then the 255-50 tire should be a little less because the tire stretches a little on the wider rim.
