Tom
I just had my motor built up and one of the things that I was going to do was to replace the stock balancer with a fluid dampner, seeing that I needed one anyway. My engine builder told me that I would feel or see no differance at all unless I was going to be racing the car and holding or taking the motor to high revs like in the 7000 range. Seeing that I was not doing that I opted to go with the stock unit and put the saved money into something internal in the motor like roller rockers :D
