Default Vaccum advance can

Does onyone know of the part # for a HEI vac. can that gives only 10* of advance. I have Lars recomending a certian Napa # but dont know the specs.
My engine seems to like 26* of initial timing with vaccum advance (any more & the idle deterierates) but in order to get that I have to dial my static timing down to about 11* which with my 20* of mechanical only gives me 31 vs the desired 36.

What I want is 16 intial + 20 mech = 36
with 10* ov vaccum that will put my idle right at the 26 that the engine likes.

Thanks in advance.

The only HEI vacuum advance control unit that only pulls in 10 degrees of max advance is the VC1852. It starts pulling at 7 to 9 inches, and pulls in the full 10 degrees at 14 inches of vacuum. This implies that you need a pretty mild, stock cam in order to use this part with manifold vacuum and an automatic tranny.

ac/delco has a part# D1370a that has 10 degrees of advance for a HEI it starts in the 3 to 6 inch range and is all in by the 7 to 9 inches of vac range as per the Delco 1.2 manual

Thanks guys;

My cam is very mild (210/210 .470 .470 110) so it should be making enough vaccum.

Thanks agian!
