Default Aftermarket Steering wheels with Telescoping

Is there a way to put an after market sttering wheel(say a grant) on a steering column that is telescopic?

Grant has some direct bolt on st. wheels. Fits 1963 to 1975 and 1977 to 1982 Corvettes with tilt/telescopic columns.
I put the Grant black leather one on my Corvette a long time ago. It has polished slotted spokes & a shallower dish which moves it closer to the dash. Ideal.

Another option is a Billet Specialties hub. Use the 3" travel one. Mods to your tele. lever is nec. though.

Does anyone know if the Billet spec ones will work on the 76?

I think it depends on your own comfort/ergonomics.....I like the wheel closer than some boy racers like, I have the seat all way back, dropped the firewall forward and lowered the pedals for getting my knees off the wheel...too boot I have a '78-up column in my '72not much in favor of keeping my arms totally straight when driving, very uncomfortable over time....not good for racing, but racing posiiton is not for street either...

IMO....YMMV, obviously....

It's hard to see in the picture but if you look closely, at the bottom of the hub, between the wheel and hub, you'll see an opening where you can lock/unlock the telescope. You have to modify the stock locking ring on a 76 to work with this hub but it's not that difficult.

Thank you You can also buy the tilt lever, turn signal lever and emergency flasher button in billet there. The had to re-thread one of the levers though as it was the wrong thread size.

I changed my '76 wheel to a '75.... there wasn't that many parts to change. Here's a link with the parts list, prices and pictures:
