Ingnition lock cylinder
I have a 1975 with tilt & Telescope colomn and need to change the lock cylinder and cant seem to get it out there is no set screw and no hole for a paper clip like most GMs I have worked on. What to do? any help would be great

There is a slit for a release blade under the turn signal switch assembly. Remove the steering wheel, retainer plate and the turn signal switch. You can then insert a feeler gauge into the slit and release the lock cylinder. Jim Shea here on the Forum can give you the step-by-step if you need it. Also, the procedure is well outlined in the Service Manual.

Burning Brakes
They can be a real PITA to get out - but they will.
Also, if this is the first time that the cylinder is being removed, then there's some "flashing" that covers the slit and you have to break through it (IIRC, Jim Shea's paper also mentions this).
