Donnie, there are quite a few examples over at LS1tech, go check over there.
I did read a few comments on making sure to ground them well.
You might even consider coil or engine covers. The C5 corvette ones look good. You could also check out the 2010+ Camaro cover that goes over the entire engine. I have one if you want to check it out.

Looks like I have about some room to mount coils on lower part of fire wall, same amount of area on driver and passenger side. Anything special besides extended wiring and longer spark plug wires? Do the coils need any protective shielding from weather?

I have shaved valve covers on my LSx twin turbo build and put them on the firewall. Pretty nice but unless you can do wiring it might be a little ugly.

Have any of you with aluminum block LS engines found the front end to be too light?

Was talking to respected shop about dropping an LSx into my car and he recommended a truck block to keep the front end from getting too light.

Thoughts? Comments?

Ill take the 100lb weight savings (in just the block alone, no idea what the overall difference is with accessories, etc). Do you do a lot of racing at the track? The only place you are going to notice it is in the corners (over/under steer). If not, I would say do whatever suits you. Iron blocks are cheaper for sure. You may need to cut the springs in the front since you have less weight on the springs. Remove the spare tire from the back...now you are back at the same distribution

Do you guys know if a pan from a 2010 Camaro LS3 will fit in a C3 swap? Several on ebay for cheap.
