1974 or 73 Front Bumper Cover - Maintaining the profile and keeping it from curling
Does anyone have any thoughts or tips on how to keep the two upper edges that are just above the grille openings from curling outward? I suppose one could glue something under the lip to maintain the profile, but I wanted to see what others are doing. (Actually, you can just see mine curling outward in my Signature pic).
Thanks in advance,
Jim

Jim, I don't know the answer to your question, but it seems this will problem goes up to '77, that I've seen. On my '75 before I changed the front bumper to a TrueFlex, I drilled and put two small phillips head trim screws on my '75's OEM bumper up through those "lips" you are referring to(my '75's OEM bumper did the same thing). The OEM bumper was "aging" so I really did'nt care about it because I knew I'd be replacing it in a few years anyways. This screw fix I did was'nt even noticable, unless you got on the ground and "looked up". I actually forgot I did this when I went to put on the TrueFlex front bumper and had to remove these small screws. They'll help somewhat.
The sad thing is I know of someone who less than a year ago bought one of these supposedly "brand new" GM Restoration '73-'74 front bumpers for their '73 for $599 and it's doing it ALREADY!!!!!
