stock spring rate?
I found someone local that has a composite leaf spring they want to sell for $90. He put it in his dads 69 and his dad didn't like the ride height so they pulled it out and put in a softer spring, he say's it's a 315-330 lb spring. I figure $90 for this and $60 for the hardware to install saves me about $80. I'm curious though as to the stock springs spring rate. Would a 315lb. spring be an improvement over what i have? if i was buying a new one i'd probably jump for the 360lb. but i wasn't planning on doing this anytime soon so a 315 might be cool for a while. Let me know guys, thanks. oh yeah, this is going in a 1980 L-82.
