Will hooker side exhaust work on dart heads
I am putting my 540 dart motor in the 69 conv. and was wondering if anyone has tried dart pro1 heads in a vette using the side mount headers from hooker?
My concern is with the exhaust port height on the heads and if there will be any clearance issues?
Any help would be great, I e-mailed Dart to see what the height diference is if any at all and am waiting a reply.

I had issues with my AFR 315's. The port is only raised .375 but I had to cut and reweld 4 tubes. Having said that, it seems as if every car is different so you may get lucky depending on how raised the Dart port is.

right thats what brought up my worries, a friend of mine has a set of afr's on his boat and mentioned of the height difference.
I sure hope I do not have to start hacking away on a $1800 exhaust system
I wonder if I could have Hooker adjust them there and then jet hot coat them?
Probably would cost a fortune though

Which Dart Head is it? Part #s would help. Their website will probably let you know if it is a raised port and by how much.

Ok so they are raised 5/16"
I have never seen any of these header systems installed, how tight are they?
anyone have some pics of there's in the area's where they might hit?
