GM aluminum intake, number 3959594?
I am parting out my 350 motor from my 71 coupe, It had a GM aluminum high rise intake, part number on top: 3959594 anybody know the secret to the numbers? I want to sell it but don't know what I have. I was told by the previous owner that it was an LT-1 part, but I think he was full of BS! Thanks for the help.

Re: GM aluminum intake, number 3959594? (LT1-Tom)
No Tom, he wasn't joking. The 3959594 was used in 71 and 72 on the LT-1.

Thanks for the info Allan, I can't believe he actually told me the truth! Any ideas on what it might be worth? It is in very good condition. If I was able to post pictures on the forum, I could show you guys what it looks like. Sorry, I don't know how?

Check also the carb, if you have the 4bbl Holly LT-1 carb. Sell it as a set.
I think the carbs are about 250 used, 450 new last I looked.

I've priced the intake for my 71 LT-1, since I don't have the correct one for my car. They run from 125 and up. The 4801 carb which I do haveruns from 250 for a rebuildable core to 480 for a nice one.

I will have to check the carb, but it is a Holley 780 dual feed, I believe the number is either 4150 or 4160? Thanks for the great info!

Tom: Check the horn, there you might find two sets of numbers, a list number and a build date. With those numbers you well know what you have.

If it's the factory Holley, it'll have the part # stamped on the airhorn right above the list #. If they match the intake, it's E-bay time, but I'd hope you could find a LT-1 owner that needed them....

Tom,
I may be interested in your carb as well as the exhaust manifolds. I just purchased an intake a few months ago though.
