Default Q-jet electric choke question

My SB 69 has a later electric choke q-jet on it and a weiand intake with the choke coil plate blocked off.

How does the electric choke work? Does the single spade on the choke take continuous or intermittent 12V, and what signals it to open/close?

Do I just wire a 12V positive lead to it

It needs switched 12volts. You can use the Yellow wire on the wiper motor

i have a question about this also. is it possible to use the open spot on the fuse panel that says IGN? i have a 79, one IGN is occupied by a pink wire, the other is free to use (assuming it gets power)
