Default What is my L48 engine compression ratio now?

Have a 1979 Vette L48 engine (stock 8.2:1). Installed flat top pistons (std bore) and 14101083 "64cc" 194/150 heads.

At one point I could figure out my approx compression ratio, with the new flat tops and heads...but lost my notes...can anyone help?

Running a Crane Energizer cam and installing TPI...so I need this info to have a (speed density) EPROM built.

thanks

Do your flat tops have 4 valve reliefs or 2 or got a P/N on the pistons? Also what head gasket are you using?

Been so many years since I put this particular engine together that I can't remember for sure. I ordered the engine kit from Northern Auto Parts and did the Fel-Pro gasket Clevite bearing upgrade (always do).

I'm sure it has the 4 relief pistons....great running setup with carb..

Well if we assume -7cc for the piston volume, a .039" std head gasket, std deck height of .025" and 64 cc heads you have 9.47:1.

Thanks Scott..was hoping that it would still be 9.5:1 or lower. I'll use the 9.5:1 figure for programming.
