what's the torque on the 1/2" bolts that mount a muncie trans to a aluminum bellhouse?

Since you have two different replies, here's my 2¢ worth. 1969 Chassis Service Manual, pg. Specifications 17, Four Speed Muncie:
Transmission Case to Clutch Housing Bolds - 55 ft. lbs.

thanks for the reply. i couldn't find the specs in my manuals.

btw- i pulled the engine(no front clip) and installed the clutch and bellhouse, then replaced the engine. then i set two 1/2" bolts with the heads cut off in the top trans mount holes, and used these two bolts as guides for the trans. once the trans was lseated, i replaced the guide bolts. after doing this job, i take my hats off to all the guys that do this entire job on their backs, under the car!

thats were i get my info it really pays to get agm shop manual megee auto books seems to have agood supply of origanl shop manuals

Hmmmm my 68 -82 Motorsbooks International books says 75 lb/lbs for 3 & 4 speed Saginaw! and 52 ft/lbs for 4 speed Warner! how confusing is that?
