I know the RPM fits under stock hoods with a drop base air cleaner and filter no thicker than 3".
I have a Weiand on my 350, that I like, and I have installed two Vortec manifolds on 350s, both Edelbrock, and I liked them too.
I think it's a price and name thing for you right now.

DB the only reason I ask I read this months issue of HOT ROD and it clearly stated Weiand however I've heard EDEL RAM AIR was more HP for the Vortecs anyone out there thinking of doing the swap check this mag out(I bought it--which is rare 'cause I NEVER buy any issues) gives into detail what works...

Weiand probably just paid to have their product featured. Usually Edelbrock foots the bill and their stuff always gets used. Unless they specifically said why they chose a Weiand over an Edelbrock...I wouldn't worry too much.

they quote that an airgap wont fit under a stock corvette hood because when they do the measurements they use an edelbrock carburettor(of course) . if you have a holley or a demon then on my 81 there is nearly an inch to spair with a 3 inch drop base air cleaner with the edelbrock airgap manifold.
