Default Oil leaking I-manifold bolt- teflon tape?

One of my intake manifold bolts is leaking oil (center one). It's out, Can I use Teflon Tape to seal the threads, or should i use high temp RTV?

I would not use teflon tape but a liquid sealer is the ticket.

I would recommend Permatex #2 (non hardening type).

I always put the same permatex on the threads of the intake bolts that I use on the front and rear block rails when I'm installing the intake. I use the Ultra-Copper but any of the RTV's will work or another type of thread sealant will work also.
This prevents the oil from the lifter valley wicking up the intake bolts and pooling on top of the intake. You only need the sealant on the center bolts because those holes are open to the lifter valley, the end bolts are not open at the bottom so sealant isn't needed.

Barry, have you ever used the white ?teflon? thread sealant that is in a Permatex kinda jar with a brush in it? I've used that on Propane connections to alcohol fuel lines with good success. Tank

nope, never used it. I've only used the Permatex RTV myself. It works great so never had a reason to try anything else

I used to use some stuff that contained teflon... and kept chasing leaks from the intake bolts. Permatex #2 and no more leaks
