Default 200-4r \ TH-400 transmission

Hello
I was wondering if someone had some info on changing from a TH-400 to a 200-4r transmission.

1.Gear ratios difference?

2.Power handeling? (I have a 454 \ 73mod) (Dreams about installing a zz502 sometime in the future, so i want a tranny that can handle the power)

3.Weight difference?

4.Where and witch one to buy?

5.Work involved in the swap. What parts need to be changed \ modified?

6.The TH-400 eats up a lot of the power from the engine, what is the case here with the 200-4r. Someone have any numbers?

7.Recomended torque converter? (I have changed to 3.73 gears)

8. Will the speedo work with the 200-4r transmission \ how much will it be off? Will it show more ore less?

Here is some gear ratio info I pulled from another website:

TH350
1st - 2.52
2nd - 1.52
3rd - 1.00

TH400
1st - 2.48
2nd - 1.48
3rd - 1.00

200-4R
1st - 2.74
2nd - 1.57
3rd - 1.00
OD - 0.67

700R4
1st - 3.06
2nd - 1.63
3rd - 1.00
OD - 0.70

I'm considering the same swap and I'm currently leaning toward Bow Tie Overdrives Level 2 tranny (400-450 HP/450-500 ft-lbs). There is some good info on their site as well. They have a Level 3 version that is probably better suited to your future high HP plans.

http://www.bowtieoverdrives.com/index.shtml

I also need to determine the correct torque converter. I recently had my car dyno tuned and the mechanic said he would help me pick the correct one based on the differences between the two trannys and my dyno runs.

Depends on what you want out of the car, a digger special?? stick with the 400 OR a 4L80e and tolerate the weight for the durability equation.....although I fail to see the reason for a digger to have o/drive.....

IF you want overdrive, why a BB?? for a 3400 lbs car TODAY in the land of speculative gas prices....4-5 bux/gallon it makes NO sense for a street driven car....stick nitrous on a SBC and put on DPFI of some sort.....

I fail to see the point of the build up....Norval built his car back when gas was cheep at 1-1.50/gal....but that's not happening now....

methinks to re examine priorities, as I fear a 200 4r will not stand the gaff from a built BBC....and slicks enough to EVER use that torque....trannys are spec'd to input torque rating, not HP....IMO....anything over 450 ft lbs to a 200 is putting the test to it....

I want a o\drive because.

1. reduced wear on engine
2. less noice in car while cruising.
3. better fuel economy is a bonus. But the reason for a BB car is not to save money on fuel. Then i would have bought a Toyota and not a SB corvette either.
