I'm thinking you could get a good used LT5 for less than that. DOHC and FI are just 2 of the advantages you'd have by going with the LT5 instead.

I would imagine they are worth it in the higher RPM range but unless those heads have better flow numbers....I think A LOT of money could be saved by getting a set of AFRs or another comparable set of heads. Yes, you are correct that is A LOT of money....hell the big block that I am building isn't even going to cost that.
