What do you have for front springs. You should match the 2 of them.

I have a VBP 380# spring and QA-1 adjustable rear shocks. (VBP will custom weight a spring for you if you ask, 380# is not listed in catalog). Mine is a street/strip car, but this combo is very flexible with the adjustables.....from soft as stock to jarring stiff. I have the stock front springs, but if corner handling is more your desire, I'd upgrade the fronts. Composite springs ride differently than steel ones; you should go higher in spring weight than the numbers suggest for the stiffness you desire. I wish I had gotten a 420# spring....they are quite streetable. My 380# spring what I thought a 360# would feel like.

VBP has 20% off so I opted for their dual mount adjustable rear spring. Not so expensive with the discount and gives me few different stiffness options. With the discount and USD exhange rate + our nice european gas prices the spring costs about the same as 4 tanks of gas.

Little bit more involved installation but adjustability is a nice feature. No need to quess the best rate for me.

Ps. also have QA1 adjustable shocks. Front springs are VBP #460s.

Gotta run Bilsteins or QA1's if your going to get a 360# spring. The GR2's won't ride right.

I am running the same set up you mentioned and for me it’s too soft. Go for a stiffer spring unless you want a very soft ride.

I'm an old dude, I'd go with the 7 leaf. We just changed to a 7 from a 9 on my sons 77.

VBP plastic 360 spring on there from 15 years ago, then the only thing was KYB, I think, anyway, that's what I had for a long time, some years ago I bought their Bilsteins and sure enough, it did take the undulations out of some bridges here, were REALLY irritating to drive...not a issue now....ride is softer/more controlled....4 Bilsteins, vs 4 KYB's....

In Europe KYBs are not considered worthy replacement even for 500K mile rusty Corolla '81. Seriously.

I first went with the KYB's also... it was a mistake and a wast of my money, had to buy the Bilstins the second, time in under 500mi. going to sale the KYB's on e-bay for somewhere around 75$ I hope... Dont pay twice like me.... Remember these two words "Bunny Hop"

About the iron spring recommendations:

Iron leaf spring = ~ 40 pounds
Composite monospring = ~ 8 pounds.

The 9 leaf is 190 so no though a higher rate composite would be used.
To improve handling a balanced setup is needed so the front would also need to be increased w/ 360.
