Default where can I get hood insulation for my L88 hood?

Will regular hood insulation work? If so, what years should I use, 69?

Well, since underhood insulation wasn't used until 1973 (as I recollect), I would say that '69 insulation would be incorrect. What method were you thinking of using to attach it and why? Glue, velcro, clips?

I know if you purchase a L-88 hood from Ecklers they give some other accessories that you might want to purchase with the hood.
One of these is insulation.
I do not believe that this insulation covers the entire under area of the hood like you might think.
I do believe that it goes accross the front of the L-88 hood and protects the area of the hood that is right above the radiator.
I think........

Some Big Block 69s had a small underhood insulation panel. It only covers the area of the hood toward the front of the hood. Zip has it for $29.00, I think they sell the clips that are used to hold it on. If you hood doesn't have a functional air inlet, then you could probably use the 76-79 model insulation. It would cover more of the underhood.
The 69 insulation is listed on the Zip Restoration Store (Click the RED Tab at the top of this page.)
"69 Insulation w/hardware" ZIP-ZM-2467$30.00
The 76-79 is listed as
Full hood, flat replacement"
"76-79 Insulation" ZIP-M-3185$29.00
If you order from Zip throught the Restoration Store, you'll get a %5 discount (use the coupon code CF-5 in the slot for your discount.)
No, I don't work for Zip or the Corvette Forum, I just believe in supporting vendors that have been good to me.
