Default Help Please...Need Pics of Windshield Corner/Top reveal Moldings

Hi guys, I just installed a new windshield frame on my '76. The fit was terrible. I actually had to cut one side because it was about an inch too long and it's still going to need some further trimming and tweeking to get the moldings right. I'm now trying to mock up the windshield corner moldings, stainless t-top molding, top reveal and side moldings to get them to get them into proper position. Could someone please send some pics of the corners, top and sides of where the moldings meet? It would be great to have some different angles. This will help me GREATLY and I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Malo

Why didn't you send the windshield back if it was incorrect? Are you sure that your windshield frame has not been modified?

Hello Mike, perhaps I wasn't clear. The problem was not the windshield, it was with the windshield frame. I had to trim one side because it was longer than the original one. I am now having problems getting the chrome corner moldings to fit properly. They're close but I'm going to need to play with the frame ends. The windshield was previously removed and now it is just resting in place. I shimmed it out with 3/8" thick strips of wood to simulate installed depth. I am putting the moldings in place where they need to be so I'll know where to modify the frame to get them to fit properly. That's why I would like the pics. Thanks

Hwcoop, thanks for the great pictures, very helpful! Really nice Vette you've got there! Your hood in the first picture looks like a glass.

Are those corner trim pieces with the hole for the top, identical parts for coupes and convertibles?

Hi M68,
Here's a picture that shows the fit of the long thin piece of ss trim with the a-pillar trim that HW's pictures don't quite show.
Hope this helps, too!
This picture was taken before the silver joint sealer was put in place
Happy New Year!
Regards,
Alan

Hi K2915,
The chrome plated corner trim pieces are the some part numbers for coupes and convertibles in the 71 AIM.
Happy New Year!

Alan
